Setting Up Announcements for Marketing and Promotions

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to set up announcements for marketing and promotions.

Step 1: Navigate to Announcements

To start off, go to Marketing, then Announcements, and click on New Announcements.

Step 2: Choose Announcement Details

Announcements are a great way to promote any new class, course, membership, discount, and so on, that you want to promote with your audience on your customer app.

As an example, let's set up an announcement about a new yoga workshop, which we plan to conduct in a month.

Select Location

If you are a multi-location business, choose which location this announcement needs to be displayed in. Let's go with Studio Madison.

Choose Announcement Type

You have several options here:

  • Detail Card: A detailed view in your customer app.

  • Banner: A banner view.

  • Push Notification: A notification that pops up on your customers' devices.

Let's go with Detail Card first.

Step 3: Define Announcement Content

Title and Description

Define the announcement title and add a short description, which will be displayed right underneath the title.

Upload an Image

Upload an image to engage your audience. Ensure your image is within the defined parameters.

Main Description

When customers click on Read More, they will see the main description, which you can type in here.

Call-to-Action Button

Add a call-to-action button within your announcement to redirect the customer to another section of the app or to an external URL. For example, you might want them to be redirected to a page on your website with more information about the workshop or to a form they need to fill out before joining the workshop.

Step 4: Define Audience and Scheduling

Currently, all announcements are displayed to all users, but soon you will be able to show it to select user segments.

Choose to notify audiences when the announcement goes live via push notification. Update the title and content, then schedule the announcement with a date and time. You can choose to show it forever or until a certain date. For the workshop, we would like to show this announcement for a brief period until the workshop begins next month.

Step 5: Finalize and Schedule

Schedule your announcement or save it as a draft if you want to make further changes. Once scheduled, you can see it in the scheduled section.

Setting Up a Banner

To set up a banner:

  • Choose the title of your banner.

  • Select your audience rules.

  • If you would like a push notification, update the notification title and description.

  • Choose to redirect your customers to a landing page when they click on the notification (available only if you have branded apps).

  • Define your audience and scheduling as before.

And you're done with setting up your announcement!
