Understanding Journeys: Automation Workflows for Communication

Introduction to Journeys

Journeys are automation workflows designed to streamline your communication. They enable you to connect with your customers at the right moment, through the ideal channel, with perfectly tailored messages.

Journeys vs. Campaigns

Unlike campaigns, which are intended for one-off messages like promoting a class or sending announcements, journeys are multi-step workflows. They adapt dynamically based on your customers' actions, making them a smarter and more effective way to engage with your audience.

What is a Journey?

A journey consists of a series of connected paths that outline the steps in a customer’s experience. Each path is made up of distinct blocks, each serving a specific purpose in the automation process.

Effortless Drag-and-Drop Builder

Creating journeys is simple and intuitive, thanks to the drag-and-drop functionality. The visual builder allows you to design dynamic workflows with ease, eliminating complexity in crafting automation paths.

Exploring Journey Blocks

Rule Block: Determines who enters the journey and progresses through it. For example, this block allows you to target specific customer groups such as new signups or loyal customers.
Communication Block: This block is where messages are crafted. It supports multi-channel communication, enabling you to reach customers through emails, SMS, or push notifications.
Wait Block: Allows you to introduce delays between messages, ensuring follow-ups are timed effectively—whether hours or days apart.
Tag Block: Provides a way to segment customers based on their activities, such as creating lists for discounts or targeting users who’ve achieved specific milestones.

Building and Launching Journeys

Journeys are flexible and intuitive to set up. Using the visual builder, you can design automation workflows that outline what messages customers will receive and when they’ll receive them. Once the journey is live, customers will enter the workflow based on predefined rules, and their progress can be monitored at every step.

Why Use Journeys?

Journeys save time by automating communication while maintaining a personal touch. They enhance customer engagement through timely, relevant messages, ultimately helping to build stronger and more meaningful relationships through thoughtful, multi-step workflows.
