When building your video-on-demand library on Kenko, you have the option to upload individual videos or create playlists. Individual videos are ideal for stand-alone sessions, such as a single Pilates workout, a stretch routine, or a tutorial that your customers can watch anytime. Playlists, on the other hand, are perfect for offering a structured series, like a beginner course, a seven-day challenge, or a progressive training program. They guide your customers through a journey in the correct order.
Follow these steps to create your very own playlist:
Navigate to Setup > Services > Video on Demand.
Click on Create Playlist.
Update the following playlist details:
Playlist Name: This is what appears to customers on your app and website.
Category: Categories help organize your library, especially useful when you upload many videos or playlists. Examples include Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Beginner Series, etc.
Full Description: A detailed description that explains what the playlist includes.
Short Description: A quick one-liner to capture attention.
Image: This will be the thumbnail for your playlist.
Update the publication status:
Select Published if you'd like the playlist to be immediately visible on the app and website.
Select Unpublished if you'd like to keep it hidden while you build your library or prepare a launch.
Click Next to add videos to your playlist.
Click Add Video. Note that you should first upload all your videos before creating a playlist.
Select the videos you want to include from the list of all videos uploaded to Kenko and click Add Video.
Rearrange the order of videos in the sequence they should be viewed.
Mark certain videos as Free to Watch to attract viewers and boost conversions.
Delete and add videos anytime as your content evolves.
When you're done, click Next to update pricing.
You have several pricing options depending on how you want to monetize your VOD playlists:
Option 1: Free
Free playlists are a great way to attract new leads, showcase your teaching quality, and boost engagement without requiring customers to make a purchase upfront.
In the case of free playlists, you can choose whether login is required. No login required means that anyone can watch. Ask for login if you'd like viewers to sign up before watching, a great way to capture leads and build your marketing pipeline.
Option 2: Paid
Allow customers to rent the video, in which case, you can set the rental price and the rental period, for example, 7 days or 1 month. Once the rental expires, customers can purchase it again if they want continued access.
Include the playlist in memberships. Choose whether the playlist should not be included in any membership, be included in all memberships, or be included only in specific memberships. This is perfect if you want to bundle VOD with memberships and give your customers access to your varied offerings.
Offer both rental and membership access, giving customers flexibility. They can either buy a membership to get ongoing access or simply rent your playlists.
Once all settings are updated, click Create Playlist. And that's it! You've created your first VOD playlist on Kenko. Your customers can now enjoy your content anytime, anywhere.
