At first glance, it may not seem necessary to assign a credit value to unlimited memberships, since customers have no limit on the number of sessions they can book. However, defining credit value is still very useful when it comes to payroll and refunds.
Accurate Payroll: If you pay instructors based on bookings, assigning a credit value to unlimited memberships allows the system to calculate the pay per booking accurately.
Transparent Refunds: In cases where a customer requests a partial refund, having credit values in place makes it easier to calculate the fair amount.
In short, even though unlimited memberships don't restrict bookings, defining credit values ensures accurate reporting, fair payroll, and transparent refunds.
Let's see how you can easily set this up on Kenko. Follow these steps to create an unlimited monthly subscription:
Head over to Section 2.
Select Unlimited. You'll see the option to update the value of a credit.
For fixed credit memberships, the system automatically calculates the per credit value by dividing the price by the total number of credits. But with unlimited memberships, that's not possible, which is why setting a credit value manually is important.
For example, you might set the value at $10 per credit.
Once you've updated the credit value, finish the rest of the membership settings and hit Save.
And that's it. Your unlimited membership is now set up with a defined credit value for accurate tracking.
