How to Add a Custom Charge for Miscellaneous Fees

There may be times when you need to charge a customer for a one-off or miscellaneous fee, such as:

  • Cleaning fee

  • Towel replacement

  • Damaged equipment charge

  • Late locker return

  • One-off maintenance fee

These charges don't fall under memberships, classes, appointments, courses, or products. Here's how you can easily add these charges through the Point of Sale (POS) system:

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding Custom Charges

  1. Access the Point of Sale: Head to the POS system.

  2. Select the Customer: Choose the customer you wish to charge.

  3. Navigate to the Custom Tab: Click on the custom tab in the POS interface.

  4. Add a Custom Charge:

    • In the custom charge section, add a label (e.g., "Cleaning Fees"). This field is optional but highly recommended for easy identification in reports and payment history.

    • Enter the amount for the charge.

    • Click "Add Charge" to include the fee.

    • Repeat the process if you need to add multiple custom fees.

  5. Complete the Transaction:

    • Once all charges are added, click "Charge."

    • Select the payment method.

    • Click "Complete Payment" to finalize the transaction.

Custom charges are perfect for handling all those miscellaneous studio fees without needing to create a product or pricing option. It's quick, flexible, and keeps your billing clean and accurate.
