Exploring the Book Ahead of Expiry Date Feature

In this video, we will explore the Book Ahead of Expiry Date feature, understand its significance, and learn how to effectively use it. This feature is crucial for managing how customers can utilize their credits for booking classes or appointments that occur after their credit pack expiry date.

What Does It Mean?

The Book Ahead of Expiry Date setting determines whether customers can book sessions beyond the expiration of their current credit pack. For instance, if a customer's subscription expires on the 20th of October, you have the option to:

  • Restrict bookings after the expiry date, ensuring that future sessions can only be booked with a new credit pack.

  • Allow bookings ahead of the expiry date, providing customers the flexibility to use their credits for sessions scheduled after the expiry.

Why Is It Useful?

This feature is beneficial for both businesses and customers. It helps businesses manage bookings and credit usage efficiently while offering customers flexibility in scheduling their sessions.

How to Use the Feature

When configuring this feature, you will encounter two options:

  1. Restrict Bookings After Expiry: This option prevents customers from booking sessions that occur after their credit pack expiry date. Customers will need to purchase a new credit pack to book future sessions.

  2. Allow Bookings X Days After Expiry: This option permits customers to book sessions that fall within a specified number of days after their expiry date. For example, if you set this to 5 days, customers can use their current credits to book sessions happening up to 5 days post-expiry.

Depending on your studio's policies and the needs of your members, you can select the option that best aligns with your business strategy.
