Before you start creating classes on Kenko, it's crucial to update your global class settings to ensure smooth operations. Follow this step-by-step guide to configure your settings effectively.
Remaining Spots: Decide if customers can see how many spots are left in a class. Enable this to show availability on the app and website. You can also set it to display only when remaining capacity is less than 50% to encourage bookings.
Booking Window: Control when customers can book a class. Set a booking open period, such as 14 days before the class starts, and a booking close period, like one hour before the class begins.
Auto-Submit Attendance: Choose between manual or automatic attendance submission. Set a duration for auto-submission after the class start time. Ensure check-ins are completed to avoid no-show fees.
Book for Someone Else: Allow bookings for others, useful for children, families, or related accounts. Decide if this applies to all classes or specific ones.
Group Bookings: Require guest details during booking for marketing purposes. Allow members to bring existing customers as guests or only new guests.
Waitlist: Enable waitlists for full classes. Choose to notify everyone or automatically book the first person on the waitlist. Define a cutoff window before class start time to manage last-minute bookings.
Waitlist Visibility: Decide if waitlist counts should be visible to customers. Showing counts can encourage signups, while hiding them keeps things simple.
Auto-Forgive: Automatically forgive the first few late cancellations in a month or year to build customer goodwill and prevent frustration.
Once all these settings are updated, you're ready to start creating your class schedules, knowing your booking, attendance, and waitlist workflows are set up correctly.
