In this guide, we will show you how to set up payroll and payroll templates. Follow the steps below to get started.
The first thing about payroll is to select the frequency. Options include:
Every other week
Twice per month
For this example, we will assume a twice-per-month frequency. This will automatically create two periods each month:
First to 15th
16th to the last day of the month
Next, we need to create a payroll template. There are multiple options available:
Pay someone a fixed salary, for example:
$120 per week
$1,200 per month
This is a popular option where you pay per class. For example:
Pay $50 per class to an instructor.
There are additional options:
Pay per class and per booking.
Flat rate per booking (excluding no-shows and cancellations).
Set up different rates based on the number of bookings:
0 to 5 bookings: $5 per booking
6 to 10 bookings: $10 per booking
11 bookings and above: $15 per booking
This incentivizes instructors to bring more people to the class.
Set a flat rate for a range of bookings:
0 to 10 bookings: $50
11 bookings and above: $100
Once the template is created, assign it to a staff member:
Go to the staff profile.
Select "Compensation".
Choose "Pay per class" and add the basic class rate.
For substitutions, add a rate (e.g., $20 per class).
Bookee offers additional templates:
Pay per course session, for example:
$10 per session for an 8-session course ($80 total).
Pay based on sales, for example:
$40 per sale
10% per sale
This can also be tiered similarly to class rates.
Pay per appointment, for example:
$100 per appointment
Bookee supports group and semi-private appointments.
Options include:
Flat rate
Tiered
Flat tiered
