How to Enable Group Bookings for Classes

Classes aren't just workouts; they're social experiences. With group bookings, members can bring friends or family, giving your studio more visibility, higher occupancy, and word-of-mouth growth. Group bookings help fill more spots and boost attendance, capture guest details to grow your database, increase loyalty by letting members share classes they love, and simplify the booking experience.

Note that group bookings are always paid. If using credits, the host must have an active membership and enough credits for all spots. Guests can also be added with quick pay. This feature only applies to single credit classes.

Steps to Enable Group Bookings

  1. Create or Edit the Class: To get started, create or edit the class you want to enable group bookings for.

  2. Enable Group Booking Feature: Scroll down to see the group booking feature. Simply enable it and hit save.

  3. Gather Guest Details: Choose to gather guest details or allow customers to bring existing members to a class.

Configuring Group Booking Settings

  1. Access General Settings: Head over to general settings, bookings, and click on the classes tab.

  2. Choose Guest Details Option: Under group bookings, you will see two options:

    • Add Guest Details: Enable this if your priority is to gather guest details to nurture the lead. Customers will be prompted to add the name and email while booking. Once done, the guest will be created as a lead on Kenko.

    • Bring Existing Members: Allow customers to bring existing members as a guest. If disabled, customers can bring only new leads as guests. If enabled, they can bring both new leads and existing members to a class.

Cancellation Policy

In group bookings, if the host cancels, all guest spots are cancelled too. Guests can't attend without the host. However, the host can cancel guest bookings individually. For late cancellations or no-shows, all fees or credits are charged to the host's account. With unlimited plans, only the host may be charged a fee. With limited credit plans, charges or credits are deducted from the host's membership for everyone in the booking. Free cancellations have no charges.

And there you have it. That's how easy it is to enable group bookings.
