To begin, navigate to General Settings and select Payments. Here, you will find various payment modes.
Once your Stripe account is connected, Card is automatically enabled as a default payment option.
You can enable other modes such as Cash or ACH.
For additional payment types like PayPal or Zelle, add them as custom payment modes.
Click Create Custom Payment Mode.
Add the name and upload a logo if desired.
Click Create.
Note: Custom payment modes are for recordkeeping only. Payments through these modes are collected directly through their respective platforms.
Enable this option to allow customers to book a session now and pay later. This is available only when selling to customers from the CRM.
Control how membership cancellations work:
Allow customers to request cancellations directly from the app or website, ensuring FTC compliance.
Select staff members to receive cancellation notifications. Note that cancellations must be manually processed by your team.
This applies to recurring memberships or subscriptions. Decide what happens when a payment fails:
Cancel immediately after failure: Stripe attempts to charge the customer, and if it fails, the membership is canceled right away.
Cancel after X payment failures: Define the number of failed attempts allowed before cancellation. This is useful during initial setup or migration, allowing extra time for customers to update card details.
Suspend after first failure, Cancel after X days: Membership moves to suspended after the first failed payment. Stripe retries the payment, and you can manually trigger retries. If payment fails after X days, the membership is canceled automatically.
Note: Cancellations are irreversible, so it's advisable to keep the failure allowance high initially.
Customize your invoices:
Update your tax ID, business name, address, and footer message as needed.
Click Preview to see the invoice layout and make adjustments before saving.
By following these steps, you have successfully updated your payment and invoice settings on Kenko.
