Setting Up Your Global Course Settings on Kenko

Before you begin creating courses on Kenko, it's important to update your global course settings to ensure everything runs smoothly. Follow this step-by-step guide to configure your settings effectively.

Step 1: Access General Settings

Navigate to General Settings, then select Bookings and Courses. Here, you will find three key settings to update: Course Visibility, Auto-Submit Attendance, and Waitlist.

Step 2: Configure Course Visibility

This setting controls when a course should stop appearing on your website and app. You have two options:

  • Hide courses after the start date: Ideal if you don't want customers enrolling once a course has already begun.

  • Hide courses after the end date: Useful if you're okay allowing mid-course enrollments.

Select the option that best fits how your studio operates.

Step 3: Set Up Auto-Submit Attendance

After each course session begins, staff should check in customers. You can choose to:

  • Submit attendance manually

  • Let Kenko handle it automatically: Enter a number and choose between hours or days to define how long after the session start time attendance should be auto-submitted.

We recommend keeping this duration high initially to give your staff enough time to check in customers accurately. Note that if check-ins aren't completed before auto-submission, a no-show fee may be charged if you've set one. Attendance cannot be reversed, so accuracy is crucial.

Step 4: Enable or Disable Waitlists

If enabled, customers can join the waitlist when a course is full. All waitlisted customers will be notified when a spot opens up. You can also define how many waitlist spots should be available.

Final Step: Start Creating Your Courses

Once you've updated these settings, you're all set to start creating your courses on Kenko.
