How to Create Discounts on Kenko

Creating discounts is a powerful way to increase customer engagement, attract new members, and drive more purchases. Discounts help you promote special offers, reward specific groups like students or corporate clients, and boost sales during key periods. Follow this step-by-step guide to create discounts on Kenko.

Step 1: Access the Discounts Setup

  1. Head to Setup.

  2. Click on Discounts.

  3. Then click Create Discount.

Step 2: Configure Discount Details

  1. Update the discount name, discount code, and applicable locations.

  2. Choose whether the discount applies to one specific location or all locations in a region if you're a multi-location studio.

Step 3: Select Discount Type

  1. Select whether the discount is a percentage or a fixed amount.

  2. For example, to create a 10% student discount, select Percentage and update the value to 10.

Step 4: Choose Applicable Offerings

  1. Select what offerings or services the discount applies to, such as subscriptions, credit packs, courses, products, quick pay appointments, gift cards, or classes.

  2. Choose to apply the discount to all items or select specific items by clicking the Edit icon, selecting the items, and hitting Save Changes.

Step 5: Define Customer Eligibility

This controls who can use the discount. You have four options:

  • All customers: Ideal if the discount can be used by everyone.

  • Customers with select tags: Ideal for tagged groups like students, VIPs, staff, or corporate clients.

  • Customers with select memberships: Only customers with specific memberships can use the discount.

  • Customers with select emails: Only specific customers with certain email IDs can use the discount, perfect for one-off offers.

Since we're creating a student discount, select Customers with select tags and add the student tag so that only customers tagged as students will be eligible.

Step 6: Set Visibility

  1. Choose to make the discount visible to customers on the app and website, or keep it hidden where only staff can apply it manually at checkout.

  2. Double-check eligibility settings to ensure only the right people get access to the discount.

Step 7: Set Active Dates

  1. Every discount needs a start date and time. Choose to start now or in the future.

  2. Optionally, set an end date and time for limited-time or holiday offers. Disable the end date if the discount is permanent.

Step 8: Finalize and Activate

  1. Once everything looks good, click Create Discount.

  2. If your discount shows up under the Inactive tab afterward, it means the start date is set in the future. To activate it immediately, click Edit, update the start date to a day or time in the past, click Update, and the discount will go live.

And that's it! You've created a discount on Kenko. Use discounts strategically to reward your members, boost revenue, and bring more customers through your doors.
