Prerequisites for classes and appointments are essential for maintaining control over your schedule and ensuring that sessions run smoothly. They help ensure that customers meet the necessary requirements before booking, which protects your schedule and enhances the overall experience.
Prevent customers from booking intermediate-level classes without attending beginner sessions first.
Restrict access to special appointments to only eligible customers.
Ensure that classes and appointments run at the appropriate level.
To set up prerequisites for a class or appointment, follow these steps:
While creating a class or appointment, scroll down to find the prerequisites feature.
Enable the prerequisites feature to set conditions that must be met before booking.
Define whether the customer must meet all, any one, or none of the conditions you've set up.
Set the condition based on contact tags, such as beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
Select the appropriate tag from the drop-down menu to restrict bookings to eligible customers.
Tags can be assigned to customers manually or automated using tagging rules with the journeys feature on Kenko.
Once you've set the condition, customize the message shown to customers who don't meet it. This message is displayed on the app and website if a customer tries to book a session without satisfying the defined prerequisite. You can also update the description to provide more context on the requirements needed to be eligible.
The same settings can be applied when creating appointments, ensuring that the right customers are in the right sessions.
